Tainted Water! Why You Should Build and Use a Homemade Water Filter
It was recently estimated that approximately 110 million Americans get unsafe drinking water from their faucets. That's nearly 40% of our nation's population that is currently drinking tainted water. The shocking truth is that even if your water looks clear and clean, there's still a good chance that it's not. In order to spread awareness and correct this horrifying number, new information has been made available on how the average American can now easily and affordably build their own homemade water filter.
First, sewage and random harmful chemicals have been known to consistently filter in and infiltrate water supplies from which you ultimately get your drinking water. Many city's pipes or water systems are beyond antiquated and the pipes are beginning to rust or corrode. The point is, a startling number of the United States' city's water supplies are not up to code to say the least.
Many people go the commercial route and buy or have bought water filter systems from a retail store. The problems with these systems is that typically they'll either force you to pay out the nose with hundreds of dollars or they're total ripoffs. On occasion the cheaper systems don't even do a thing. Buying the materials necessary to make your own will cost you somewhere in the range and a few hours work but will work just as well or better than the leading systems while you get a lifetime of peace of mind and clean drinking water.
Homemade water filters are also effective in freeing people from their reliance on costly bottled water which typically runs a dollar or more for one bottle. The worst part about it is that recent studies have found that much of this bottled water, an estimated 30% even, is polluted biologically or chemically to the point where it isn't completely fit for drinking in itself, and we're paying for this! If you're one of those people who buys a bottle or more a day, that's at least 5 dollars wasted a year which could be better spent elsewhere while you could be making your own fresh water at home and bottling it in a freezer bottle to keep it cold all day.
